A natural and great source of nutrients including calcium, protein, phosphorous and good fats. They help dogs maintain their calcium: phosphorus ratio. Contain natural chondroitin, studies have found that taking chondroitin can prevent cartilage breaking down and can also stimulate its repair mechanisms. Contain lots of omega 3, selenium and vitamin b3. Bones also act as a natural toothbrush for dogs.

Every dog needs high quality protein, raw meat gives that to dogs in abundance. It gives dogs a stable energy source without all the spikes you see with sugars etc and helps them maintain a good weight and muscle.  Raw meat contains essential amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body, so therefore has to be present in the diet. It’s also full of Potassium (essential for heart health), Iron, Zinc and Taurine.

The humble carrot has the richest and most dense source of pro- vitamin A carotenes. They are powerful anti-oxidants, contain vitamins B, C, D, E and K, riboflavin, niacin, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sodium, and iron.  Like the story goes Carrots help you see in the dark  as the help maintain healthy eyesight.

Squash contains potassium and can be beneficial in reducing heart failure in dogs. It has plenty of nutrients and significant amounts of vitamin A and Calcium which helps to keep a dog’s kidney’s healthy.  There is also some discussions that it could be a natural de-wormer.

Flaxseed Oil contains loads of nutrients including the all important Omega 3, 6 and 9, which have powerful antioxidant properties.  It helps to regulate the metabolism, helps with keeping joints functional and mobile. It has anti fungal and anti bacterial properties too. It improves coat condition and helps to promote healthy skin.

This sea vegetable is full of minerals and contains vitamins A, B, E, D and K. It also contains sodium alginate (algin), which helps remove heavy metals from the dogs system. Kelp is a good source of iodine that helps promote thyroid function and can benefit animals who suffer from hypothyroidism.

Kelp is ideal for balancing glandular functioning in dogs. Iodine is essential for stimulating the thyroid gland. Kelp can help maintain a shiny and healthy skin and coat in dogs. Dogs with dry skin, skin allergies and alopecia (hair loss) can benefit from eating kelp.

The high fiber content in kelp has anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-rheumatic properties that benefit dogs. There are many more benefits to Kale for dogs.
